PT Djembatan Dua reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the continuous development of healthcare professionals through the Nurse Education Program themed “Basic Wound Care: The Proper Management in Acute Wounds and Chronic Wounds”, held at Tangerang Regional General Hospital (RSUD Kabupaten Tangerang) on June 4, 2026.

The program brought together 99 nurses from various healthcare institutions, including Tangerang Regional General Hospital, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National Referral Hospital (RSCM), Harapan Kita National Cardiovascular Center, Bogor Regional General Hospital, Budi Asih Hospital, Pesanggrahan Regional General Hospital, and Balaraja Regional General Hospital. The initiative aimed to enhance nurses’ competencies in managing acute and chronic wounds in line with the latest developments in modern wound care practices.

The event was officially opened by Dr. H. Mohammad Rifki, MS, Sp.B, MARS, Vice Director of Medical Services at Tangerang Regional General Hospital, who emphasized the importance of strengthening healthcare professionals’ competencies to meet the evolving demands of healthcare services.

“Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health recognizes the essential competencies of healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, dentists, nurses, and midwives, while fostering stronger collaboration among them. In line with the theme of this program, basic wound care remains one of the core competencies that nurses must continuously develop,” he stated.

Throughout the program, participants gained insights from leading wound care practitioners covering various aspects of wound management. Topics included Acute Ulcers, presented by Mrs. Angelina L. Naibaho, S.Kep., Ners., CWCCA; Diabetic Ulcers, presented by Mrs. Diana Roza, S.Kep., Ners., ETN; and Chronic Cancer-Related Ulcers, delivered by Mr. Charles Sembiring, S.Kep., Ners., CWCCA.

In addition to clinical sessions, participants also attended an anti-corruption awareness session delivered by Dr. Hilwani, SH, MH, highlighting the importance of integrity and professionalism in healthcare practice.

The program featured interactive discussions and hands-on workshops, enabling participants to observe wound assessment techniques, wound dressing applications, and appropriate treatment approaches based on wound characteristics and patient needs.

Supporting Modern Wound Care Practices

Mrs. Ni Luh Putu Yulina Enstini, National Business & Sales Manager of PT Djembatan Dua, explained that educating healthcare professionals is an integral part of the company’s commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based wound care practices.

“We aim to equip nurses with the knowledge required to select the most appropriate dressing for both acute and chronic wounds. Each wound type presents unique characteristics and treatment requirements. Choosing the right dressing can significantly support the healing process while improving the overall quality of patient care,” she said.

According to Mrs. Yulina, the advancement of modern wound care requires healthcare professionals to understand the specific characteristics of different wound types and determine the most suitable treatment methods and products. Proper dressing selection not only optimizes healing outcomes but also enhances patient comfort throughout the recovery process.

For diabetic wounds, including gangrenous wounds with high exudate levels, foam dressings can provide effective absorption and moisture balance. Similarly, burn wound management requires solutions that offer both protection and an optimal healing environment.

To address these needs, PT Djembatan Dua offers a comprehensive portfolio of wound care solutions under the Stardec brand. Among them is DecaFoam, designed for diabetic wounds and cancer-related wounds with high exudate levels. The company also introduced DecaFoam LA, an effective and affordable solution for burn wound management in healthcare facilities.

During the event, Mr. Richard Anggada, Business Executive of PT Djembatan Dua, introduced several key products from the Stardec wound care portfolio designed to support healthcare professionals in daily clinical practice.

The portfolio includes wound fixation products, wound dressings, and supporting wound care solutions that meet quality standards while contributing to the increased utilization of locally manufactured medical devices.

Among the featured products were Stardec DecaFix, which has achieved a 36 percent Domestic Component Level (TKDN) and obtained certification as a domestically manufactured medical device (AKD), as well as Stardec DecaMed-T, with a TKDN level exceeding 40 percent, alongside other products developed to support comprehensive wound management.
