PT Djembatan Dua participated in the 48th Annual Scientific Meeting (PIT) of the Indonesian Ophthalmologists Association (Perdami), held from August 24th to 26th, 2023, in Yogyakarta in an effort to promote innovation in eye healthcare services in Indonesia.
Djembatan Dua presented the latest information regarding eye health products, with over 600 doctors visiting their booth. These doctors, including ophthalmologists, resident doctors, and general practitioners, were introduced to the latest developments in Intraocular Lens (IOL) cataract products and phacoemulsification machines.
Partnering with Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision, a leader in world-class eye health products, Djembatan Dua also offered valuable experiences for doctors to participate in Wetlab workshops. These workshops aimed to enhance their competence and understanding of cataract surgery, allowing doctors to directly practice using the phacoemulsification machine in simulations closely resembling actual surgical conditions.
The presence of Intraocular Lens (IOL) cataract products and phacoemulsification machines from Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision, marketed by Djembatan Dua, aligns with efforts to address serious eye health issues faced by Indonesia. According to data released by Perdami, there are approximately 8 million cases of visual impairment in Indonesia, with 1.6 million patients experiencing blindness and 6.4 million patients facing moderate to severe visual impairments. Cataracts are the leading cause of these visual impairments.
Visiting the Djembatan Dua booth was the former Minister of Health for the 2014-2019 period, Ms. Nila F. Moeloek, who discussed eye health in Indonesia and gained information about Djembatan Dua's services and products.
