Argon Group Donates Medical Devices to Residents in Lampung

As a part of Indonesia’s healthcare industry, Argon Group takes part in protecting the public’s health during the pandemic by donating medical devices and healthcare products. The donation was symbolically given to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, by the President Director of Argon Group, Mr. Krestijanto Pandji, at the government’s stimulus event ‘Bangga Buatan Indonesia’ (Proudly Made in Indonesia) 2022.

The Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI) themed “Lagawi Fest (Lampung Bangga Wirausaha Industri Festival) Satu Bumi Juta Karya” was held in Tegal Mas Island, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province, on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Apart from Mr. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, also presented at the event were the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita and the Governor of Lampung Province Mr. Arinal Djunaidi.

Regarding Gernas BBI, Mr. Luhut encouraged stakeholders to support this program by allocating budgets to ministries/agencies and local governments for procuring local products. "In July, we hope that 80% of ministries and local government’s spending is allocated to local products," said Luhut during the BBI Coordination Meeting.

Meanwhile, Mr. Agus Gumiwang said that the Ministry of Industry is actively promoting domestic production through socialization and certification at the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) to meet the government's target of purchasing domestic goods and services worth at least Rp500 trillion in 2022.

“We hope more Indonesian products with higher domestic component levels can be available in e-catalogue to simplify the procurement process and increase the government’s spending on local products,” stated Mr. Agus Gumiwang.

President Director of Argon Group, Mr. Krestijanto Pandji, said that the Argon Group is committed to supporting the government in the Proudly Made in Indonesia program by supplying medical devices and healthcare products with high TKDN.

"We know that 95% of our medical devices are still imported. Therefore, we can reduce the imported medical device and healthcare products. This Bangga Buatan Indonesia program encourages the local medical device industry to increase the down streaming productivity of local products with high TKDN,” said Mr. Krestijanto.

On this occasion, Argon Group, through its philanthropic arm, Argon Peduli donated some medical devices and healthcare products, such as masks and hand rubs, to protect the health of residents in Lampung during the pandemic.

Mr. Krestijanto said that the Argon Group has a health and social responsibility for the community. "For this reason, following the company's value, Deal with Care, we donate medical equipment and healthcare products as a preventive effort in supporting public health during the pandemic," said Mr. Krestijanto.
